Calvary Chapel has established itself as a community of believers committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. At its core, the fellowship aspires to deepen the understanding of Christ and aims to be transformed into His image through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

The ministry holds a firm belief in the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, recognizing it as the sole authoritative scripture in its original writings.

It upholds the doctrine of one God, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The deity of Jesus Christ is central to its beliefs, including His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous works, vicarious death and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and eventual personal return in power and glory.

Calvary Chapel asserts that every lost and sinful individual requires salvation, which is exclusively available through the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. The present ministry of the Holy Spirit is also acknowledged; it is through this indwelling that believers are empowered to lead a life pleasing to God.

The belief in resurrection extends to both the saved and unsaved—where those redeemed are resurrected unto life, while others face resurrection unto judgment. A spiritual unity among believers in Jesus Christ is emphasized.

While recognizing its non-denominational nature, Calvary Chapel does not oppose denominational structures; rather, it discourages excessive focus on doctrinal differences that contribute to divisions within the Body of Christ. The foundation for true Christian fellowship is identified as Agape love, which surpasses all differences and is deemed essential for authentic Christian identity.

The approach to worship within Calvary Chapel is multifaceted: it emphasizes spirituality, allowing for flexibility and responsiveness to the Holy Spirit's guidance; it values inspiration, particularly through music; it prioritizes intelligence, ensuring services are structured around teaching God's Word for proper worship; and it acknowledges that fruitful worship manifests as love in believers' lives.
